Diving

All regularly scheduled DHS dive practices will occur in the Napoleon High School Natatorium, 701 Briarheath Dr., Napoleon, Ohio 43545.

Due to state law and district policies, transportation to Napoleon High

School for practice is the athlete’s responsibility.

Diving practice is every day after school until ~5pm. As the season

progresses Saturday practices will be added. Practice will also take place through the Christmas

break. These practices will take place daily, with the exception of Holidays, and are, typically,

9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Napoleon High School is 16 miles from DHS and can take up to 25 minutes to drive there,

depending on traffic. Please plan appropriately and always drive safely.

Practices are at NHS so that our divers get adequate time on the boards during regular after

school hours. While at NHS’ facility the divers will be coached by myself, as well as, the NHS

Diving coaches. Together we have over 30 years of combined experience coaching the area’s

best divers. Our high school divers have consistently competed at the district and state level.

By practicing at the NHS Natatorium we grab onto an opportunity to utilize a facility that is

second to none. There isn’t another high school in Ohio or Michigan that has comparable

facilities.

NHS’s pool features (2) 1-meter diving boards, (1) 3-meter diving board, along with an above

the board harness system, training pool side platforms, state of the art soft landing bubbler

system, heat lamps and brand-new video recording and playback software.
